Welcome to Bydand Newfoundland's.
Pronounced: boo-don
Bydand is a Viking/Scott word in origin and
means: steadfast, loyal, enduring and courage.
To me this well describes a Newf. They are very
loyal to their humans and whenever possible
should only have one family. To look at all the
accounts of Newfs who have rescued countless
numbers of people from shipwrecks and other
situations, you know they are also courageous.
Whether you intend to show your dog or have it
be a loyal companion at home, our dogs are
champions in the hearts of their owners. Without
dogs, our homes would not be complete. They
make a fire seem warmer, our lives fuller. They
love us unconditionally. We want the best for
them and they give us nothing but the best of
themselves.
We are located in North Dakota.
We are members of the Newfoundland Club of
America and the Great Lakes Newf Club.

Rigby works as a therapy dog on a daily basis.

We feed Purina Pro Plan Sensative Skin &
Stomache formula. It has proven itself to be a
wonderful food for our Newfs. I do recommend
our dogs be kept on this, however, all dogs are
individuals and not all dogs do well on the
same food, so I provide information on food, so
if you need to select a different brand or
formula, that you will be able to choose a
quality food for your Newf.

| We do owner handler some of our dogs in the conformation ring. However, since I am busy with the dogs and life in general, for me, I find using a Professional Dog Handler works quite well. I use Arvind deBraganca in Bell, FL. |
